Bidgee Pollination is one of only a handful of pollination businesses permanently based in the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area, with roots stretching back to the early 1940s. Jaye Hughes is a third generation beekeeper with over 25 years of experience. Jaye's first encounter with honeybees was at the tender age of ten when his Grandfather, Harold Saxvik Sr, took him under his wing and taught him how to care for bees. Since then, Jaye has had extensive experience in all aspects of beekeeping including: crop pollination, honey production, extraction and beehive care. Jaye is a certified hive inspector with intrinsic knowledge on how to care for and improve the health of beehives.

Bidgee Pollination provides a unique and vital service to agriculture by increasing crop yields for farmers. Some crops such as Almonds cannot produce at all without the aid of honeybee pollination.
